Art Deco nails
My friend Anne told me about this 1930s Art Deco "Moon" manicure and I decided to try it out. I think this was the third time in my life I painted my nails and it wasn't a graceful process. But I am pleased with the results! What do you think? Maybe something fun for a holiday party this year?
What are you up to this weekend? I'm headed to a wedding on this farm tomorrow and I'm very excited to see old friends, eat great food, do some pregnant-lady dancing, etc. I'll share photos next week. Also, I have a great shop update in the the works for Monday - pinks and purples! Bon weekend!

Oh my god. It looks AWESOME!
Wish so much I could be at the wedding, but my travel is restricted to area within 1 hour. Given that the tip of the pinkie not within that range, wedding's out. Have an amazing time. Look forward to pics!
This is a stunning modern version of the 30s manicure! Love it! In the 30s, the tips and the moons were left white or natural, but for shorter nails, your look is fantastic!! I've got my own deco nail appointment ready to go for my LA trip. SO elegant!!!!
I have never seen such a thing on you! And you did it yourself? Come do mine!
If only you could record this "pregnant lady dancing", that I would LOVE to see...
The nails look great. I usually only do a french manicure but this is so tasteful!
Lovely manicure, although I am utterly entranced by your ring. Can you tell me more about it please?
I'm a big fan of the vintage mani! I do it with the tips left bare too so there's no chippage straight up (I'm the sort of person whose manicure lasts 2 days max if I don't).
And I love that camphor glass ring - I have such a soft spot for camphor glass.
Come do mine, too!
I like this style of manicure... and I'd like to try it for this year's Back to 1945 ball which tooks place every year in my city.
Even if the manicure is 1930s style, I think it could be used pretty well for this event.
This is just amazing. Your nails looks so chic.
you make we wanna paint my nails too.
