Better than diamonds

I knew this locket was special when I bought it last weekend, but I didn't realize it was quite so old or quite so valuable. I just about broke a sweat when I saw a larger version of the locket for sale here. I'll take little Victorian lockets like this over diamonds and pearls any day. I love the little dove craning her neck and the bright, bright blue enamel.

Gasp! I think I need to paint that color on one of my walls and the bird motif if I can swing the skill. Diamonds are definitely not as inspiring as that beautiful and dear piece.

Oh my goodness! That is quite a find. Good job! I miss thrifting so much, but I can thrift through your shop whenever I get the hankering. You truly have the best eye and taste! xo
