One is the loneliest number

When I find singleton earrings, I almost always buy them. Why I do this, I do not know. I guess I feel like one pretty thing is still really nice, even if two would be better. Here are three supremely lovely, lonely earrings in my collection right now.

I'll see you here bright and early tomorrow for a sea-themed shop update!

I'm sad for these lonely individuals. Do you do anything with them?

I think I might have worn a single earring at a time in the 1980s. I'm not sure if that was a fashion thing, or me being punk rock. But if it was a "thing," maybe it will come back!

bought a few myself this weekend. I have no idea what I will do with them either. These are lovely!

They make gorgeous necklaces....just add a vintage chain or ribbon and they will be beautiful, I make them all the time when I find stragglers! :)

p.s. obviously I remove the top post piece that attaches to the earlobe when turning these lovely pieces into pendants!

When the earring portions is removed these make amazing pendants on a simple silver chain. Some of my prettiest pendants were once straggler earrings.

Aw, it's like adopting jewelry orphans. It also makes me wonder about what happened to the other earring-- did the former owner lose it while out dancing at some smoky jazz club? Or was it just left behind in a drawer when she moved?
