The moral of this story? Never fix your hair in the bathroom over an open drain when you are wearing the most beautiful pair of antique earrings that you own. If you do drop one in the drain, pray that it gets stuck halfway and pray that your husband has a headlamp. Then find your tweezers and try to rescue that sweet earring from the terrible, terrible drain. If you succeed, celebrate by putting the earring on again and screwing it on extra tight. Then wear the earrings all day and enjoy the feeling of having narrowly avoided a small disaster. The end.

This really happened to me on Saturday

Hehe your facial expressions are priceless Duff. And yes, isn't that moment when jewellery goes down the sink horrific? My mum lost an earring at the hairdressers, but they called a plumber to save it then and there and she got it back!
ha! fabulous :)
you are pretty much as cute as the little bunnies living under my deck right now, i declare.
Bwah! Funniest/cutest post ever! The headlamp--gah! I bought Andy one for running a few years back. Hopefully we'll be able to find it if I ever lose something down the drain.
I enjoyed how you acted out your predicament in these photos, too adorable. Thankfully I've always put in one of those little screen covers on all my drains (mainly to catch hair but also for jewelry mishaps) so I can avoid any clumsy accidents.
This is so cute! I love the head lamp idea! Sadly I lost a hair clip down my drain and you know what, it won't budge! STILL THERE. Kept telling myself I should cover that drain and then that happened. I think I need a stronger tool.
You are lucky that the earring was all you found. I'm afraid to go looking in our drain! Ha ha
haha! this is a great story, especially because it has a happy ending!!
this is awesome. i love you so much.
Oh man that shot of you with the head light, should be the advertisement for the brand
Slogan: (Will find you)
I particularly love photo #9. Your determined look is priceless ;)
hilarious. you are too too funny. that happened to my grandma's wedding ring, but i don't think she got it back. :(
Um...if you ever find another pair of those, you know who to get them for.
my husband has a headlamp, i, obviously, have tweezers, and, now thankfully, your advice and great pics! phewph.
Haha. That's adorable! Great pictures!
this is the best post. ever.
