Downton Abbey Update

Today's shop update is inspired by that lovely show called Downton Abbey. I haven't seen the second season yet, have you? I hope to get to it next month. In the meantime, here are some period pieces I've been gathering with Lady Mary, Edith, etc. in mind. Oh and do you notice the rogue bead in the purse photo below? I didn't notice it until I was editing the photos! I think it is pretty funny.

Perfectly Downton! I have been re-watching the first season, I liked it so much. I don't think I'll be able to see the new season until it shows here on PBS in January--I'm dying to see it!

This collection is KILLING ME! In December I have a ban on buying for myself. You are seriously testing that now.

I believe number five is my favorite above, but the Dowager (Maggie Smith) is my favorite on the show. She always has the perfect pause in her way of speech that adds so much to her character. Love this post!

What a lovely idea. I adore Downton Abbey; can't wait for the second season in January. (Those clever Brits get to see it in December, lucky dogs!) XOXO

Blue and silver is one of my favorite jewelry combinations. These are stunning! I recall seeing something similar to that faux camphor necklace on Three Graces. So intricately pretty.

I have not watched all of the first season of Downton Abbey yet. My sister and I caught the end of a marathon on TV. I think she saw the last four and I saw the last two. We were intrigued. I had to buy the DVD set. Maybe there'll be some viewing over the holidays.

Perfect picks! I loooove that show, can't wait to see the second season! I foresee it becoming a weekly staple in our household, like the long version of Pride & Prejudice- always on in the background :)
