Skinner auction catalogs

Did you know that you can find all the catalogs for Skinner, Inc. auctions, including their quarterly fine jewelry offerings, online at issuu.com? Clear your calendar because time means nothing when these things are full-screen. The layout is luxe and the product groupings are sensational. I wanted to climb inside the jewelry catalogs and try on the rings. It really felt possible. With every click of the right arrow I whispered another obscenity. Mercy, mercy, mercy - how can there be so many beautiful things?! You should also explore their recent oriental rug and carpet, fine musical instrument, and Folk Art auction catalogs.

Braid jewelry

I heard about this awesome braid motif jewelry from Alison of Teen Angster. It's mighty nice.

I apologize for the quiet blog this week, folks. I will make it up to you next week the best way I know how - with a post entirely devoted to fashion Barbies. Get excited!

Scarab clover

Another amazing piece of jewelry from Erie Basin. This late 1800s brooch is a mix of classic Victorian (clover) and Egyptian Revival (scarabs). And the beetles are so green and beautiful!
