I'm gonna do this

The only thing I really collect (other than vintage jewelry) is old hankies. I buy them individually, I buy them by the bagful - I can never have too many. My favorites are the super soft, almost translucent ladies' hankies from 1930s. Especially the ones with bold colors and patterns. I've decided to frame a few of my favorites when I get home à la this DIY post. I think they will look so pretty going up the stairs or maybe in my office.

So pretty! And what a great idea... I have a small collection myself, mostly from travels. My faves are from Mont Saint-Michel in Brittany and from the Meteora Monasteries in Greece. Think I have a handful of family heirlooms, too.

Awesome!

I love how those look. I have a very small collection of vintage hankies, and they are wonderful. What I really need to find is a way to display my grandma's old tea towels. She embroidered them with Scotties, one for every day of the week. The towels have been used and are full of holes, but I want to preserve the embroidery somehow. Hmmmm... maybe a display like this?

Ahhhhh! I knew I was saving those hankies for a reason!

This is one of those things that's so simple, it's brilliant. I love vintage hankies, but in my case, they just sit around taking up space - it's tough to really do anything with them. What a lovely solution!

I'm going to do it, also. In my office. I bought a BOX of hankies at an auction, and I've been trying to think of things to do with them.....

I have wanted to do this! My issue is finding the frames. I have seen this done with state hankies, too. Great taste Duff!

My husband and I did this in our bedroom above our bed. We used vintage state souvenir hankies of the states that mean something to us. I shameless copied it from the movie Julie and Julia.
